The Executive Committee and the Board of the EuroQol Group have jointly taken the decision that this year’s EuroQol Plenary Meeting will once again be held as a virtual event in the 3rd week of September. When weighing up the choices, the foremost consideration continued to be the safety of members and EuroQol staff. An additional factor is the extent of national travel restrictions around the world due to the pandemic, making travel to a physical meeting challenging for many members and impossible for some.
The EuroQol Office will now begin working up plans for the virtual 38th Plenary Meeting and further details will be communicated in due course. A call for abstracts on EQ-5D related research for the Plenary Meeting will also be announced shortly.
We do hope that the world will soon turn the corner and the various COVID-19 countermeasures being introduced around the world will make holding a physical meeting possible in the not-too-distant future. The EuroQol Office will monitor the situation. If circumstances allow it, some regional/national meetings may be held later this year.
But in the meantime, we wish everyone to stay safe and take care.
