We are pleased to announce that all EuroQol members are invited to attend the 8th EuroQol Academy (ACA) 2024 in Copenhagen, Denmark on 5-7 March. The 4th EuroQol Early Career Researcher Meeting 2024 is organized in advance of the EQ Academy 2024 on Tuesday 5th March.

Academy theme 2024
The main objective of this meeting is to provide open sessions to EuroQol members, that relate to the theme of this year’s meeting, which is:

EuroQol instruments in today’s world: exploring new frontiers

Global interest in EQ-5D vastly exceeds what its original designers could possibly have imagined. The world has changed around us and the perspectives of regulatory agencies, healthcare systems, and populations today are different to those of nearly 40 years ago.

Contemporary needs and novel applications invite us to focus on ensuring that EQ-5D remains “fit for purpose”.

Our meeting allows us to revisit the past and to learn about how our portfolio of instruments is being applied – in different populations and disease groups, in different healthcare settings, in day-to-day patient management, in shaping health policy, and in monitoring the health of populations. We need to learn where EQ-5D works and where it does not.

This knowledge will provide us with a platform to share our thinking about the way ahead and enable us to explore new frontiers.

Poster presentations
Guided poster sessions are scheduled for Wednesday 6th March. A moderator will lead viewers through each poster in turn, and the poster authors will be available for questions and clarifications. Each poster will be discussed for approximately 5-7 minutes. Research that aligns with the Academy meeting theme and aims of the EuroQol working groups will be eligible for consideration and may be accepted for inclusion in the poster session. Priority will be given to those who are aligns with the meeting theme. We kindly invite you to submit an abstract through the Abstract Submission Portal by Monday 20 November 2023, 23.59 CET.

Further information on the meeting timelines and participation criteria can be found in the full Call for Abstracts .

We look forward to receiving your abstracts!
