EuroQol launches a new whiteboard animation, ‘Measuring health-related quality of life in children and adolescents: The EQ-5D-Y’

EuroQol is proud to announce the launch of a new whiteboard animation on the child-friendly version of the EQ-5D, the EQ-5D-Y. The animation briefly explains in a fun and engaging way the need for an instrument that measures health related quality of life in younger populations, differences between adult and youth versions of the EQ-5D, recommended age ranges, how to complete the questionnaire, and that – when combined with value sets – it can be used to inform economic evaluations of healthcare interventions. We would like to thank Michael Herdman and the members of the EuroQol Younger Populations Working Group for their expert input during the development of this animation.

Further animations explaining more about the EQ-5D and its applications are currently in development and will be rolled out over the next 12 months.

The animation itself is available on Vimeo and YouTube. Other videos in our growing animation series about the EQ-5D can be viewed in the Educational Material section of the website.
