International valuation protocol for the EQ-5D-Y published
EuroQol is pleased to announce that, following an extensive programme of methodological research, an international evidence-based valuation protocol has been developed for the EQ-5D-Y instrument. Published in PharmacoEconomics, the new valuation protocol will enable the development of EQ-5D-Y value sets that will be used to inform economic evaluations of healthcare interventions for child/adolescent populations. Indeed, EuroQol is already working with several research teams around the World, using the new valuation protocol, to develop EQ-5D-Y valuation studies in their countries (data collection completed: Japan, Indonesia; ongoing: Germany, Slovenia, Spain; planned: China, Hong Kong).
The EuroQol Board and Executive Committee would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the researchers involved in the programme of research to develop the EQ-5D-Y valuation protocol.
