NICE commissions expert advice on EQ-5D-5L valuation set for England
Working in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care, NICE has commissioned four international experts to review the quality of data and the modelling techniques used to derive the EQ-5D-5L valuation set for England.
The review is being undertaken in response to concerns raised by EEPRU (Policy Research Unit in Economic Methods of Evaluation in Health & Care Interventions), which are contested by the authors of the EQ-5D-5L valuation set for England.
Note that the review only relates to the valuation set for England. The assessment will be finished by early Autumn. It will subsequently be published on the NICE website when an updated NICE position statement on the EQ-5D-5L valuation set for England is released. In the meantime, the existing NICE position statement still applies.
The review is funded by an unrestricted grant to NICE from the EuroQol Research Foundation.
Please refer to the NICE website for further information on this expert review.
