Maja Kuharić, MPharm, MSc, PhD is an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, in the Department of Medical Social Sciences. She specializes in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), with a focus on patient-reported outcomes (PROs), psychometric evaluation, and economic evaluations in healthcare. Dr. Kuharić holds a PhD in Pharmacy with a concentration in Health Outcomes from the University of Illinois Chicago and two master's degrees in Health Economics and Clinical Pharmacy. Her research involves developing and validating clinical outcome assessments (COAs), integrating PROs into clinical trials, and advancing methodologies for preference-based measures such as EQ-5D and EQ-HWB. She has collaborated on projects funded by the FDA, NIH, and EuroQol Research Foundation, among others. Prior to her academic role, she gained industry experience as a HEOR Senior Manager at AbbVie and a Research Fellow at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Kuharić has published in high-impact journals and serves as an Associate Editor for Health and Quality of Life Outcomes. She is involved in ISPOR, ISOQOL, PROMIS Health Organization and the EuroQol Group, where she contributes to methodological advancements in health outcomes measurement.
