The EuroQol Research Foundation is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide tools for measuring and valuing health that aim to improve decisions about health and health care around the world. The 2024/2025 Annual Report of the Foundation, outlining its mission, vision and achievements can be found here. Professor Devlin has chaired the Board of the Foundation since 2021, and has been re-elected to serve a further 2-year term.

Professor Devlin commented “I am delighted to be re-elected as chair of the Board of this important not-for-profit organisation. In the last year alone, the EuroQol Research Foundation provided its health related quality of life instruments to around 7,000 users – in 92% of cases, completely free of charge – and to channel over €6m to new research. The Foundation is helping to strengthen outcomes evidence worldwide, and it’s an honour to contribute to these efforts.”

The EuroQol Group Association comprises an international network of more than 120 multidisciplinary experts in health economics, patient-reported outcome measures, health-related quality of life, health technology assessment, and health policy. The Executive Committee is EuroQol’s principal scientific committee, responsible for leading the scientific strategy of the EuroQol Group, coordinating its research, development, and education and outreach activities, approving project funding; and maintaining strategic oversight of the overall research programme. Professor Xie has been elected as Chair of the Executive Committee for a 3-year term (2025-2028).

Professor Xie noted: “It is a great honour to chair the EuroQol’s Executive Committee. EuroQol has become a global leader and a primary funder of innovative research in health measurement and valuation. In the coming years we will launch new instruments tailored to diverse age groups and health conditions. One instrument in development, the EQ Health and Wellbeing (EQ-HWB), can be used across health, social care and carer settings. A key priority will also be to further engage and collaborate with stakeholders in HTA, HEOR, and health care systems to advance methods and applications of patient-reported outcome measures. I look forward to working with the Committee and the broader EuroQol membership as we undertake this vital work.”

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the members of the Board and Executive committees for their continued dedication, commit
