Assessing Population Health

This Core Knowledge Panel (90 min) starts with an introduction to the assessment of population health by Juanita Haagsma (Erasmus MC), who co-chairs the Populations and Health Systems Working Group. After this overview, Fatima Al Sayah (University of Alberta) will introduce the EuroQol – Data for Assessment of Population Health Needs and Instrument Evaluation (EQ-DAPHNIE) project and Agota Szende (Fortrea) will introduce methods illustrated with evidence from international analyses of health equity. Jiabi Wen (University of Alberta) and Liisa Penttinen (University of Eastern Finland) will narrate their first hand experiences with population assessments and serve as discussants. After these presentations, attendees will ask questions and open discussion more broadly. The Core Knowledge Panels are tailored for early career researchers (ECRs) interested in becoming more involved in EuroQol research.
