Fatima is a renowned health outcomes researcher at the University of Alberta's School of Public Health in Canada, and is an expert in measurement of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and quality of life, and their application in clinical and cost-effectiveness research, population health assessment, and health systems. Fatima serves as the research manager of “Alberta PROMs and EQ-5D Research and Support Unit” (APERSU). She is a principal and PROMs lead at the Centre for Clinical, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (CCHO) serving the Middle East and North Africa region. Fatima serves as an Associate Editor of the Health and Quality of Life Outcomes journal, and is a regular reviewer for other leading journals including Quality of Life Research and Value in Health.
