The EQ-5D User Guides provide key information on each of the four EQ-5D instruments (EQ-5D-3L, EQ-5D-5L, EQ-5D-Y-3L and EQ-5D-Y-5L), including their structure, content and intended populations.
The guides also explain how the instruments can be incorporated into studies and provide practical guidance on scoring, analysis and interpretation of results.

The EuroQol website provides a wealth of information on EQ-5D instruments and other instruments in development. Here are some links that provide useful guidance and insight.
There is a dedicated page on the EuroQol website that contains an overview of what value sets are and also provides tools to help you calculate EQ-5D values for the two adult instruments (EQ-5D-3L and EQ-5D-5L) and the original youth instrument (EQ-5D-Y-3L) based on the country or region you are interested in.
You can select the instrument and country/region using the drop-down menus to show a list of currently available tools (e.g. STATA, SAS, SPSS, R, Excel). Value sets are currently being developed for the EQ-5D-Y-5L.

This open-access book provides practical guidance on how to analyse data generated using EQ-5D instruments. The authors provide practical, clear and comprehensive guidance in five concise chapters. It serves as an invaluable resource for researchers new to EQ-5D analysis, while also offering useful insights for more experienced users. The methods can be applied to any EQ-5D instrument (for example, the three- and five-level and Youth versions) and many of the methods described will be equally relevant to other patient reported outcomes measures.
