Mike has worked in the field of health technology assessment and outcomes research for 30 years. He currently runs his own consulting and research company in Spain and is Honorary Visiting Associate Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, in the National University of Singapore. His main areas of interest are the development, validation, application, and interpretation of patient reported outcome (PRO) measures, including preference-weighted instruments for use in health economic evaluations and health technology assessment. His focus in recent years has been on the measurement and valuation of health in children and he was Chair of the EuroQol Group’s Younger Populations Working Group for a number of years until stepping down in June 2025.
