Call for Abstracts now open: 9th EuroQol Academy 2025 and 5th EuroQol Early Career Researcher Meeting 2025

Interested to participate in one of our annual meetings? The 9th EuroQol Academy (ACA) 2025 is confirmed for 11-13 March in Barcelona, Spain and the Call for Abstracts is now open!

Academy theme 2025
The upcoming EuroQol Academy 2025 will focus on the theme of “Bolt-ons“, with three sessions dedicated to different aspects of this theme. The first session will discuss the management and scientific frameworks guiding the development and implementation of bolt-ons, providing a structured approach to integrating new dimensions into the EQ-5D. The second session will feature presentations on recent studies that have developed and tested specific bolt-on dimensions, highlighting methodological considerations and practical insights. The final session will address the evidence and challenges associated with valuing bolt-ons, highlighting the challenges and evidence of estimating a value set for EQ-5D with bolt-ons.

Poster presentations
Guided poster sessions are scheduled for Wednesday 12th March. A moderator will lead viewers through each poster in turn, and the poster authors will be available for questions and clarifications. Each poster will be discussed for approximately 5-7 minutes. Research that aligns with the Academy meeting theme and aims of the EuroQol working groups will be eligible for consideration and may be accepted for inclusion in the poster session. We kindly invite you to submit an abstract through the Abstract Submission Portal by Monday 25 November 2024, 23.59 CET.

We are calling on all ECRs! The 5th EuroQol Early Career Researcher Meeting 2025 is organized in advance of the EQ Academy 2024 on Tuesday 11th March. The purpose of the ECR meeting is to provide structured opportunities for involvement, research and networking for ECRs interested in EuroQol-related research.

Abstract submission
Research abstracts that align with the aims of the EQ Working Groups are welcomed (Descriptive System, Valuation, Populations and Health Systems, EQ-5D in Younger Populations, Education and Outreach, EQ-HWB), so are abstracts on EuroQol-related research in innovative areas. We kindly invite you to submit an abstract through the Abstract Submission Portal by Monday 25 November 2024, 23.59 CET. The ECR organization committee will review all submissions and make decisions regarding acceptance.

*NOTE: Early Career Researchers (ECRs) are encouraged to submit their abstracts for consideration to both the ECR Meeting and Academy meeting. In the event their abstract is accepted for both meetings, the organizing committees will jointly decide at which meeting the work will be presented, considering the fit with the planned program.
