OPEN: 22nd Joint Call for Proposals by the EuroQol Working Groups

The 22nd Joint Call for Proposals by the EuroQol Working Groups is now OPEN. You can download the Call for Proposals document here. 

Please submit proposals using the EuroQol Project Submissions Portal. Please review an outline of the grant types to ensure you submit the correct application. 

The deadline for submissions is Sunday 25 October 2026 at 23:59 CEST. Please note that EuroQol will not accept any late submissions; no exceptions. 

Overview 
EuroQol has established Working Groups (WGs) which support the research agenda outlined by the Executive Committee. For this call, the WGs have reviewed the current research portfolio and identified priority areas, which have been reviewed and endorsed by the Executive Committee; these priorities are organised by research program rather than by working group so that applicants working on a shared topic (e.g. the Bolt-on Toolbox, or younger populations) can see the full picture in one place. We welcome proposals that address one or more current priorities or innovative research. The Strategic Plan will guide funding decisions.

Furthermore, EuroQol is open to innovative research that falls outside the listed priority areas.  If you are interested in undertaking other innovative research but are uncertain whether it is in scope, please contact the grants management team (grants@euroqol.org) for advice and guidance. 

The Exec may, in addition to this call, and on an as-needed basis, directly approach teams to submit proposals to meet specific strategic needs of EuroQol. 

Please note: 

• The provisional funding available for the current call stands at approximately €3.0M. The Executive Committee will consider a range of research priorities within this budget envelope.  

• Appendix 2 outlines the Budget requirements. An Excel Budget Template should now be used for all submissions. 
• Appendix 3 outlines the available grant types. A new application form for individual Conference Presentation is now available.

• Any time-sensitive funding proposals may be fast-tracked. If you plan to submit a time-sensitive proposal, please contact the grants management team (grants@euroqol.org) prior to submission. 
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) software, including Large Language Models (e.g. ChatGPT) is frequently used by researchers to enhance their work. The Foundation may consider proposals for which AI has been used to improve writing. Applicants must declare whether, and to what extent, AI tools assisted in drafting the text. Proposals generated by AI will not be accepted for review.
